Why Dubai is a Heaven for Entrepreneurs

According to recent statistics, Dubai is the only city in the Middle East to be included among the best cities in the world for entrepreneurs.

E-commerce company Oberlo conducted a survey of 200 worldwide locations and evaluated the cities based on aspects that support thriving start-up ecosystems, such as economic freedom, access to markets and money, and technological infrastructure.

With a global score of 59.8, Dubai placed 59th overall. Additionally, the emirate took the top spot globally for its advantageous company tax structure and placed strongly at number six for logistics and 23 for its technological environment.

Why Dubai is an ideal choice for entrepreneurs

Nearly two years into the pandemic, researchers are still working to find ways to stop the newly developing difficulties. While many economies are struggling to survive or are slowly regaining stability, the UAE’s economy is well on its way to normalcy and even experienced its strongest growth in the previous two years.

Let’s look at some of the reasons why it is a wise decision for entrepreneurs to invest in Dubai

  1. Great Economy

The UAE was named the second-safest nation in the world earlier this year by the Global Finance survey. A decade before the epidemic hit, Dubai started making technological changes in an effort to align itself with the goal of becoming a smart city. In addition to accelerating the nation’s digital transformation via cutting-edge tools like virtual reality, blockchain, and artificial intelligence, its forward-thinking leadership is also investing in making the country sustainable for its citizens, their families, and tourists.

Additionally, work is also being done on the Dubai 2040 (Urban Master Plan). Any forward-thinking entrepreneur would want to be a part of this vibrant environment with all the activities now taking place.

  1. Amazing Lifestyle

According to Mercer’s 2016 Quality of Life Rankings, the Middle East and Africa region’s top quality of living is found in the UAE’s Dubai and Abu Dhabi emirates.

This year, just two cities from the MENA region, Dubai, which is rated 75 and is the region’s best city overall, and Abu Dhabi, which is ranked 81, made it into the top 100. (over no. 2 in the region). Dubai has been named the best place to live in the Middle East for the last four years.

The emirate offers a high standard of living together with the benefit of no taxes. The area rewards you with its selection of eateries, markets, and entertainment options. During the Dubai Shopping Festival, tourists worldwide flock to this city for its amazing shopping. Dubai has something for everyone, from the largest brands to the gold and spice souks, whether they are looking for something luxurious or budget-friendly.

  1. Strong Security

According to business consultancy giant Mercer, safety is particularly crucial for ex-pats when considering working overseas. Dubai is the next regional city after Muscat and is ranked #40 internationally in terms of safety.

No matter what time of day you venture outside, you may easily stroll around the emirate’s streets without worrying about being assaulted or robbed. The emirate’s crime rate is almost nonexistent, and the police are quick and effective.

Businesses flourish in safe environments, and Dubai offers a welcoming atmosphere for investors and strict business regulations to welcome global investment.

  1. Tax-free Investments

Why remain away from your family and stay overseas if you can’t even save enough money? Residents who wish to have wealthy and lavish lives can invest in Dubai, which offers the finest tax-free options. Wealth tax, business tax, or income tax are not due from you.

The advantage of not paying taxes is that a person may save enough money to invest elsewhere, even though investors in Dubai receive the highest earnings on rental property.

  1. Easy to set up a business

Professional business incubators can be found in Dubai, where they assist in company creation and offer various services that firms need once they are up and running. All firms in the United Arab Emirates require certain corporate services to be established and run effectively. They take care of important governmental formalities and processes, including paperwork, approvals, and documents, which streamlines the entire process.

Conclusion

Despite the economic unrest brought on by the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, the Dubai Economic Department awarded 42,638 new company licenses, which is a 4% increase over the number of licenses given in 2019.

In the most recent World Bank Ease of Doing Business survey, the UAE came in at number 16 out of 190 nations, which is why it is an ideal place for entrepreneurs.
